It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Gwendolyn Merry of Effingham, Illinois, who passed away at the age of 98, on April 4, 2022. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roscoe Karl and Margaret Volts (Humes); her husband Merrill Dean "Bud" Merry; her sons, Dr. Richard Merry and James Merrill Merry; her son-in-law Ronald Niebrugge; and her granddaughter Elizabeth Merry-Pierce.
She is survived by: her children, Stephen of Effingham, Gwen Scheetz (Greg) of Scottsdale and Dr. Margaret Merry-Niebrugge of Effingham; and her grandchildren, Julia Degler, Ben Merry (Katie), Gary Scheetz (Ashleigh), Jack, Jay and Jeff Niebrugge. She is also survived by six great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Unit 40 Education Foundation or Alzheimer's Association.
