He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Bierman and Mildred Bierman (Schutte); his niece Kristin Hutmacher; his nephew Keith Koester; and his parents-in-law, Melvin and Marilyn Wittenberg.
He is survived by: his wife Carla Bierman of Effingham; his daughter Cathleen Bierman (Weston Peno) of Effingham; his siblings, Jane Ordner (Bob), Clete Bierman (Ruth), Mary Niemerg (David), Mike Bierman (Mary Jo), Tony Bierman (Wilma), Geralyn Koester (Allen), Barbara Hutmacher (Steve), Bernice Sandschafer (Jerry), Steve Bierman (Diane) and Jeanette Runde (Joe); and his siblings-in-law, Vickie Budde and Darrell Wittenberg (Debbie). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
