With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Geraldine M. Althoff of Effingham, Illinois, who passed away on January 26, 2025 at the age of 83. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Geraldine M. Althoff to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Koebele and Clara Koebele (Cohorst); her parents-in-law, Frank and Mary Margaret Althoff; her siblings, Clete Koebele, George Koebele and Dee Bierman; and her brothers-in-law, Louis Bierman, Franco Grasselli and Rich Jansen.
She is survived by: her husband Bob Althoff of Effingham; her children, Paul Althoff (Angie) of Effingham, Jerry Althoff of Effingham, Phil Althoff of Effingham, Pat Althoff (Becky) of Effingham, Deb Rennels (Randy) of Sigel and Linda Overton (Bill) of Altamont; her siblings, Millie Grasselli, Stell Smithenry (Bob), Ruth Jansen and Gene Koebele (Janet); and her brother-in-law Richard Althoff (Mary). She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church (20057 County Rd 1525 E, Effingham, IL 62401). A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to St. Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church.
