With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald L. Purcell of Effingham, Illinois, born in Granite City, Illinois, who passed away on October 3, 2022 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marguerite Francis Nash Purcell (Nash) and Gerald Thomas Purcell. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Jean Martin (Trish) of Lake Pauline; and his children, Katie Nash (Sean Yeo) of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Jason Vollmer (Kim) of Effingham.
