He was predeceased by: his parents, George L. Guthery and Mildred E. Guthery (Matthews); his wife Viola Ann Knierim; and his sister Shirley Parkhurst. He is survived by: his children, Kathy Witkowski (Scott) of Effingham and Billy Joe of Effingham; his grandchildren, Danielle Witkowski of Effingham, Ashley Guthery (Josh Hair) of Ramsey, Jessica Spour (Christopher) of Altamont and Megan Guthery (Derrick Verhey) of Crawfordsville, IN; and his great grandchildren, Harlan McConkey, Thea Spour, Lena Spour, Leti Spour, Jaxxsyn Schmidt, Brynle Hair and Madalynn Verhey.
Memorial donations may be given to Effingham County Humane Society.
