He was predeceased by: his parents, Ambrose Brummer and Laura Brummer (Kemme); and his siblings, Charles Brummer, Mary Nacke, Sylvester "Bob" Brummer and Lois Dhom.
He is survived by: his wife Betty of Effingham; his children, Jennifer Hunzinger (Bob) of Champaign, Tony Brummer (Shelley) of Joplin, MO and David Brummer (Mary Fergus) of Chicago; his grandchildren, Erica Hunzinger, Michael Hunzinger (Laura), Christopher Hunzinger, Alexis Hunzinger, Jacob Brummer (Parker), Caleb Brummer, Nathan Brummer and Olivia Fergus-Brummer; and his great grandchildren, Chloe, Olive and Baker Brummer.
Memorial donations may be given to the American Cancer Society, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
