It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Fred Cole of Effingham, Illinois, who passed away on January 29, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Cole and Olive Mabel Cole (Courtney); and his siblings, Gertrude, Marjorie, Charles Richard "Dick", Ronald "Red", Gladys, William "Bill", James "Jim", Ralph and Harold "Butch".
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Cole of Effingham; his sons, Wade Cole of Lake Station, IN and Adam Cole (Krista) of Colorado Springs, CO; his siblings, Virginia (Ed Buchanan) of Charleston, Kenneth "Kenny" Cole of Charleston, Judy Cole of Naperville and Larry Cole (Debbie) of Mattoon; and his grandchildren, Brienna, Kalvin "Jasper", Robyn, Olivia and Sophia. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Transitions Care or Carle Auxiliary.
