He was predeceased by: his parents, William Kabbes and Agnes Kabbes (Braun); his former wife Viola M. Tipsword; his children, John and Karla; his great grandchild Harper Wear; his brothers, William, Vic and Don Kabbes; and his brother-in-law Ron McCullough.
He is survived by: his wife Anne Brumleve Schniederjon of Effingham; his children, Kathy Wear (Jim) of Springfield, Michael (Jody) of Normal, Kim Calvo (Rob) of Sugar Land, TX and David (Judy) of Lake Bluff; his stepchildren, Audra Schultz (Robert) of Effingham, Frank L. Schniederjon (Julie R. Reedy) of Effingham and Cindy Windau (Jeff) of Edwardsville; his grandchildren, Sarah (Pieter), Plessis, Adam Wear (Kate), Jacob Wear (Kendyl), Jenny Fuente (Justin), Emily Kauten (Josh), Luke Kabbes, Paul Kabbes (Emily), Trent Calvo (Jessica), Kristine Broussard (Brent), Danielle Schroeder (Zach), Drew Kabbes (Ryan), Jamie Kabbes, Mary Kate Potrzeboski (Michael), Joan Kabbes, Christo Schultz (Kelly), Emmie Schultz, Frank G. Schniederjon, Nicole Schniederjon, Regan Windau and George Windau; and his siblings, Ron Kabbes (Joyce) of Effingham and Norma McCullough of Homer Glen. He is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren.
