In loving memory of Florence E. M. Genaust of Effingham, Illinois, who departed this world on January 17, 2025 at the age of 93. Florence leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Flack and Mary Flack (Sutton); her sons, Bruce Genaust and Dennis Genaust; and her siblings, Elizabeth Shuemaker, Dorothea Moschenrose, Edward Flack and Arthur Flack.
She is survived by: her husband Billy Genaust of Effingham; her daughter-in-law Jacqueline Genaust of Effingham; her grandchildren, Thad Genaust (Kim Thomas) of Alma, IL and Amanda Genaust of Effingham; and her great grandchildren, MaKenna Roley, Tatum Genaust, Jaxxon Green and Bentley Genaust.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home (1110 N 4th St, Effingham, IL 62401). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church in Effingham.
