He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ungrund and Anna Ungrund (Lawrence); his siblings, Henry Ungrund and Marguerite Will; and his siblings-in-law, Helen Ungrund, Marie Pike, Louis Will, Laverne Buhnerkempe and John Pike.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Pals of Effingham; his children, Lee Ungrund (Linda) of Box Elder, SD and Kay Foreman (Keith) of Effingham; his grandchildren, Lance Ungrund (Rachel) of Martinsville, IN, Lynnette Ungrund of Denver, CO, Logan Ungrund of Martinsville, IN, Nathan Foreman (Dana) of New Castle, CO and Isaac Foreman (McKenzie) of Edwardsville, IL; his great grandchildren, MacKenzie Ungrund and Axel Ungrund; and his sister-in-law Wilma Buhnerkempe.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sacred Heart School, Meals on Wheels, or donor's choice.
