He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Powell and Eileen Powell (Croft); and his siblings-in-law, Johnny Boggs and Carolyn Buening. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Powell; his sons, Darren Powell (Tania) and Greg Powell (Angie); his grandsons, Stephen of Effingham and Benjamin of Effingham; and his sisters-in-law, Eva Kluessendorf and Karen Boggs. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Effingham County Humane Society or donor's choice.
