He is survived by: his wife Brenda Wendling (Mellendorf) of Effingham; his son Adam Wendling (MaryBelle) of Toledo; his stepsons, Trevor Stortzum (Kelsey) of Herrin and Lucas Stortzum (Lauren) of Rogers, AR; his stepgrandchildren, Andrew Gernigin, Keith Walker, Aria, Amara and Leah Stortzum; his brother Phillip Wendling (Tammy) of Effingham; his mother-in-law Irma Mellendorf of Dieterich; his siblings-in-law, Kent Mellendorf (Janice) of Louisville, Keith Mellendorf (Angie) of Jewett, Scott Mellendorf (Jane) of Montrose, Steve Mellendorf (Judy Mason) of Ottawa and Glenda Bartels (Gary) of St. Elmo; and his uncle Terry Wendling (Janet). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and cousins.
