He is survived by: his wife Rosalie Hardiek Wente; his children, Steve Wente (Linda) of Mattoon, Susan Sharick (Pat) of Savoy, Jill Ratchford (Rick) of Spring, TX, David Wente (Jody) of Glen Carbon, IL, Amy Peyres (Brian) of Bloomington and Brian Wente (Nicole) of Gurnee, IL; and his siblings, Wayne Wente (Linda), Jerry Wente (Karen) and Art Wente (Mary Rose Hoene).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic School or Church in Effingham.
