He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin C. Erickson and Anita M. Erickson (Newman); his grandparents, Eddie Oscar Erickson (Minnie) and Anton Newman (Minnie); and his son-in-law David Cave.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen A. Kelly; his children, Bradley Erickson (Kendra) of Sussex, WI and Karen Cave of New Albany, IN; his grandchildren, Kira Erickson, Brian Cave (Maggie), Brett Cave (Adrienne) and Stephanie O'Boyle (Ian); his great grandchildren, Jude, Navy, Benjamin and Emmett Cave; and his brother Gerald Erickson (Barbara) of Florida.
