It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dessie Anderson of Effingham, Illinois, who passed away on January 4, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Aaron B. Farquhar and Mary Farquhar (Williamson); her husband James Leon Anderson; her son Nathan Anderson; her granddaughter Danielle Anderson; her siblings, Marie Woodard, Frank Farquhar, Viola Mae Jordan, Agnes Everette, Marion Meek, Roman Farquhar and Florence Farquhar; and her niece Tina Allen.
She is survived by: her children, Gregory A. Anderson (Martha) of Effingham, IL and Michelle Weidner (Brian) of Ingraham, IL; her grandchildren, Jake Anderson of Noble, Jordan Weidner (Makayla) of Ingraham, Macie Weidner (Jacob Wheat), Jayden Weidner (Kolby Petty) and Alex Phillips; her great grandchildren, Chloe, Raylan and Maverick Anderson; and her sisters, Ida Osterman and Wanita Jenkins. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
