With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Debbie Jo Johnson of Effingham, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 10, 2025 at the age of 69. She was predeceased by: her parents, Jim Sowers and Ann Sowers (Robinson); her son Korey Joe Russell; her brother J. B. Sowers; her brothers-in-law, Larry "Pupper" Heuerman and Greg Ervin; and her grandchildren, Dayton and Chandra Painter.
She is survived by: her children, Cody Johnson (Jess), Chase Johnson, Dustan Goodwin (Jerry) and Chelsea Sipes; her siblings, Jeff Sowers, Becky Heuerman and Christie Ervin; her sister-in-law Lisa Sowers; her grandchildren, Conner Jo Yates, Kiersten Huckaba (Austin), Caleb Russell, Ashton Dunn, Jaden Sipes, Mason Black, Rhett Johnson and Reagan Johnson; and her great grandchildren, Caylynn, Eleanor Jo, Lincoln, Hudson, Winnie, Kinley and Weston.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Toledo Christian Church (501 S Maryland St, Toledo, IL 62468). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
