He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Tieffel and Mary Tieffel (Campbell); his siblings, Dixie Kuhn, Jerry Tieffel, Kent Tieffel, Norma and Melvin; his nephew Kent James Tieffel; and his father-in-law George Whitley.
He is survived by: his wife Diane Tieffel of Effingham; his children, Holly Wallace (Jeff) of Pontiac, IL and Ryan Tieffel (Ashley) of Effingham; his grandchildren, Jordan Wallace, Hannah Wallace, Gavin Wallace, Macey Wallace, Kennedy Tieffel, Kinsley Tieffel and Kohen Tieffel; his siblings, Shirley Vonderheide (Bud) of Stewardson, Mickey Koester (Jerry) of Teutopolis, Sandy Bingman (Don) of Effingham, Priss Stephens (Ed) of Cocoa, Debbie Kirby (Lyle) of Watson, Bob Tieffel (Gloria) of Jackson, Don Tieffel (Christa) of Effingham, Dennis Tieffel of Effingham, Doug Tieffel (Nila) of Teutopolis and Jim Tieffel of Taylorvillle; his mother-in-law Ruth Whitley of Effingham; and his sisters, Lavonne Ring (Bob) of Effingham, Darla Miller (Kurt) of Troy, IL and Paula Tieffel of Herrick, IL.
