It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darrell Laur of Effingham, Illinois, born in Belleville, Illinois, who passed away on October 23, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Lester B. Laur and Isabelle Laur (Crader); his wife Velma Davis; and his stepson John Michael Ligotino. He is survived by: his brother Steve Laur (Jeanne) of Maryville, IL; his niece Jill Wright (JJ) of Altamont; his nephews, Derek Laur (Maggie) of St. Louis, MO and Matthew Laur (Carrie) of Pinckneyville, IL; his stepchildren, Lisa Goacher (Curtis) of Easton, MO and Jason Ligotino (Betsy) of San Diego, CA; and his stepdaughter-in-law Courtney Ligotino of Kettering, OH. He is also survived by 5 great-nieces, 4 great-nephews, and 2 great-great nieces.
