Dale R. Mellendorf Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dale R. Mellendorf (Effingham, Illinois), who passed away on February 17, 2019, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Mellendorf and Louise Mellendorf (Dammerman); his sister Viola Stuckemeyer; and his brother-in-law Alvin Will. He is survived by: his wife Irma Mellendorf of Dieterich; his children, Kent Mellendorf (Janice) of Louisville, Keith Mellendorf (Angela) of Jewett, Scott Mellendorf (Jane) of Montrose, Steve Mellendorf (Judy) of Marseilles, IL, Brenda Wendling (Douglas) of Effingham and Glenda Bartels (Gary) of St. Elmo; his grandchildren, Michelle, Tracy, Mark, Kimberly, Andrew, Emily, Jennifer, Shelly, Trevor, Lucas and Garrett; his great grandchildren, Brady, Levi, Piper, Tripp, Elijah, Adalida, Mackenzie, Kaden, Madison, Simon, Aria, Amara and Aspen; his siblings, Floyd Mellendorf (Mary Lou) of Springfield and Phyllis Will of Altamont; and his brother-in-law Leo Stuckemeyer of Altamont. He is also survived by 6 step-grandchildren; 14 step-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church in Louisville, Laborers For Christ, and Lutheran Care Center.
