It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Chrystal Louise Peters (Effingham, Illinois), who passed away on October 31, 2019, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Hunter and Marcella Hunter (File); her husband Oscar E. Peters; her son David C. Peters; and her siblings, Margaret Schmollinger, Edna Addington and Gerald Hunter.
She is survived by: her children, Eugene H. "Gene" Peters (Patricia "Pat") of Arnold, MO and Chrystal A. "Chris" Uptmor (Tom) of Effingham; her daughter-in-law Brenda Peters of Florence, AL; and her grandchildren, Melissa Schnorbus, Gregory Peters (Tina), Robert Peters (Krystal), Heather Miller (Scott), Rachel Peters and Raymond Uptmor (Christy). She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Centenary United Methodist Church, HSHS Hospice Southern Illinois, or Alzheimer's Association.
