We are sad to announce that on May 4, 2020, at the age of 81, Catherine E. Bliss (Effingham, Illinois), born in Nashville, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude C. Spence and Zenobia Spence (Westfall); her children, Cindy Koenig and Steve Zumbahlen; her grandchildren, Richie Zumbahlen and Katie Koenig; her siblings, Jeanne Derry, Mackie Spence (Doris), Jack Spence and Laddie Spence (Norma); and her brother-in-law George Bourgeois.
She is survived by: her sons, Richard Zumbahlen (Sheryl) of Newton, Michael Zumbahlen (Carol) of Effingham and James Zumbahlen of Effingham; her grandchildren, Bryan Zumbahlen, Jason Koenig, Beth Koenig, Joshua Koenig (Lauren), Megan Lustig (Clint), Michaela Zumbahlen (Trenton), Carrie Michaels (TJ), Dustin Zumbahlen (Ashley), Alexis Henderson (Justin), Stephanie Cholula, Angelica Anderson (Zach) and Asia Zumbahlen (Austin Zumbahlen); and her siblings, Anne Bourgeois of Effingham, Sue Poe of Altamont, Barb Murphy of Tuscola, Joan Gouchenouer of Springfield, Terri Levingston (Ray) of Montrose and Pete Spence (Debra) of Effingham. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren.
