We are sad to announce that on December 1, 2023, at the age of 82, Carol Jean Vahling of Effingham, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Bushur and Florence Bushur (Ruholl); her former husband Herman Hartke; her husband Louis Vahling; her sister Marlene Greuel; and her brothers-in-law, Ronnie Greuel and Donald L. Fulk.
She is survived by: her sons, David Hartke (Malinda) of Bishop and Alan Hartke (Mindy) of Newton; her grandchildren, Cole Hartke, Damien Hartke, Cassandra Hartke, Katherine Hartke and Kenneth Hartke; and her siblings, Kenneth Bushur (Lucy), Dennis Bushur (Kathy), Bert Walls (Kenny), Sharon Fulk and Roger Bushur (Pauletta).
Memorial donations may be given to the charity of the donor's choice.
