He is survived by: his children, Anita Cornell (Mark) of Effingham, Jody Kabbes (Mike) of Normal, IL, Angela Deters (Wayne) of Neoga, Douglas of Effingham, Nick Bushur (Nancy) of Effingham and Peter (Theresa) of Teutopolis; his siblings, Diane Pullen and Bob Bushur; his grandchildren, Stacia Dennison (Tim), Katherine Baize (Kevin), Jenny Fuente (Justin), Emily Kauten (Josh), Luke Kabbes (Jessica Flessner), Paul Kabbes (Emily), Rachel McDowell (Brady), Melissa Steffee (Kyle), Adara Kastl (Scott), Mallory Ferry (Blake), Olivia Keske (Dillon), Jillian Deters, Claire Siemer (Joe), Samuel, Jacob and William Bushur; and his great grandchildren, Jack, Carson, Isaac Fallert, Cecilia, Caroline, Charlotte Fuente, Norah, Jackson, Vivienne Kauten, Bennett, Mackenzie, Clara Kabbes, Emree McDowell, Brayden, Aralyn, Rowan Kastl, Elliott, Amelia, Oliver Ferry, Simon Keske and Baby Siemer.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home (1110 N 4th St, Effingham, IL 62401). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St Anthony of Padua Catholic Church (101 E Virginia Ave, Effingham, IL 62401).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to St. Anthony of Padua Church.
