He was predeceased by: his parents, William Genaust and Neva Genaust (Campbell); his wife Florence Flack; and his sons, Bruce Genaust and Dennis Genaust.
He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Jacqueline Genaust of Effingham; his grandchildren, Thad Genaust (Kim Thomas) of Alma, IL and Amanda Genaust of Effingham; and his great grandchildren, MaKenna Roley, Tatum Genaust, Jaxxon Green and Bentley Genaust.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home (1110 N 4th St, Effingham, IL 62401). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
