She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Bahrns and Caroline Bahrns (Budde); her spouse Thomas F. "Tom" Koester of Bull Flat; her aunt Freda Berg; her parents-in-law, Harold and Mildred Koester; and her siblings-in-law, Gene Koester and Janet Stein.
She is survived by: her sons, Todd A. (Diane) of Effingham and Tim E. (Deb) of Effingham; her granddaughters, Morgan Brumleve (Rod), Macy Dasenbrock (Kyle) and Casey Koester; her great grandchildren, Brynley Jo Hayes (Mara Dasenbrock) and Hank; her stepgrandsons, Paul Hilgenberg (Joci) and Keith Cummins (Amanda); and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Kelly, Austin, Sierra Hilgenberg, Conner, Liam and Emma Cummins.
Memorial donations may be given to the American Diabetes Association, the American Heart Association, or the charity of the donor's choice.
