With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Bessie L. Budde of Effingham, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 8, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Walter Bloemker and Blanche Bloemker (Poynter); her husband Norman Budde of John's Lutheran Church; her sisters, Ruby Parks (Andrew), Eileen (Asa "Junior"), Woods Chesnut (Dean), Ruth Boatman (Carl), Bertha Leesman (Leroy "Bud") and Juanita Yeazle; and her daughter-in-law Joyce Budde (Niemerg).

She is survived by : her sons, Terry of Effingham, Gary (Janice) of Effingham, Lyle (Lou Anne) of Effingham, Brian (Liz) of Watson and Darren (Nancy) of Altamont. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 12th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, June 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (901 W Jefferson Ave, Effingham, IL 62401). A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Bauer Funeral Home (1212 W Evergreen Ave, Effingham, IL 62401).

Memorial donations may be given to Transitions Hospice or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
