She was predeceased by: her parents, John Goeckner and Elizabeth Goeckner (Buenker); her husband Charles E. Hardig; her siblings, Charles, John Goeckner (Lucille), Cecelia Willenborg and Dorothy Ruholl (Bernard); and her niece Charlotte Ruholl.

She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Donna Breer (Paul), John Goeckner (Sue), Terry Goeckner (Barbara), Leon Goeckner (Joni), Renee Barthelme (Tom), Carol Jean Kuhlman (Jim), Linda Gouchenour (Kenny), Janet Willenborg, Cindy Mathis (Stanley), Jane Plummer (Danny), Randy Ruholl (Jane), Elaine Tegeler (Vernon), Alice Flynn (John), Pat Kessler (Tim), Ronnie Ruholl (Twila) and Cheryl Meeker (Herb); and her brother-in-law Joe Willenborg.

Memorial donations may be given to Sacred Heart Church in Effingham.
