With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Barbara J. Jansen of Effingham, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Barbara left this world on February 17, 2025 at the age of 89, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Burl Horn and Lydia "Happy" Horn (Wente); her husband John Wayne Jansen; and her grandson Darin White. She is survived by: her daughters, Lynda White (Chuck), Debbie Hardiek Venters (Todd) of Jim and Judi Bone (Steve) of Effingham; and her grandchildren, Christa Koester (Ryan), Chad White (Hayley), Erin Barnhill (Josh), Blair Hardiek Azzi (Jennifer), John Jansen, Josh Jansen (Courtney), Kierstyn Green (Chase), Peyton Wright (Keaton) and Braydon Bone (Ashlin). She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (405 S Henrietta St, Effingham, IL 62401).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Effingham Animal Rescue Sanctuary (E.A.R.S.) or the Effingham County Humane Society.
