He was predeceased by: his parents, Hughie Johnson and Pearl Johnson (Justice); and his siblings, Harold Johnson, Leslie Johnson, Jay Johnson, Paul "Bus" Johnson, Rachel Johnson and Dollie Hardy.
He is survived by: his former wife Jeannie Murphy of Hoopeston; his wife Sue Johnson; his son Kip Johnson (Judy); his stepchildren, Tiffany Tarr (Harold) and Jeff Chambliss (Heather); and his sister Donna Hamilton (John). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lincolnland Hospice or First Baptist Church in Effingham.
