He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Morris and Mary Alice Hilligoss (Crockett); and his siblings, Warren Wilson Hilligoss, Leonard Lyman Hilligoss, David Duane Hilligoss, Garold Gene Hilligoss and Ruth Ann Hurley.
He is survived by: his wife Susie Hilligoss of Effingham; his daughter Angelia Hartke (Cody) of Effingham; his grandchildren, Hayden and Elena Hartke of Effingham; and his siblings, Elizabeth Louise Larsen (Charles) of Denver, CO, Ronald Robert Hilligoss (Janet) of Decatur, Edward Earl Hilligoss of Indianapolis, IN, Lois Evelyn Harris of Gays and Floyd Foster Hilligoss of Windsor. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
