He was predeceased by: his parents, Ben Jansen and Eva Jansen (Funneman); his siblings, Edward Jansen, Florence Schuette, Alice Hoene, Louisa Jansen, Virgil Jansen, Alma Steffen, Charlie Jansen, John Jansen and Catherine Beckman; his siblings-in-law, Joseph, Clara Althoff and Marlene Althoff; his son-in-law Mark "Harold" Harrington; and his great grandchildren, Henry Meino Lucht and Laila Angela Brumleve.
He is survived by: his wife Mardell Althoff; his children, Marlene Hille (Steve), Karen Fuesting (Tim), Joyce Hoene (Mark), Linda Harrington (late Mark), Mark Jansen (Tammie Miller), Richard Jansen (Vanessa Holland-Borries) and Wayne Jansen (Tina Giller); his grandchildren, Jackie Mette, Brian Fuesting, Angie Brumleve, Sarah Lucht, Richard, Stephen, Jonathan Hoene, Jake Harrington, Dean, Joseph Jansen, Megan Devore, Dustin Borries, Matt Jansen, Elizabeth Schewe and Kelly Jansen; his brother Bernard (Helen Jansen); and his siblings-in-law, Margaret Jansen, Judy Jansen, Donald Beckman and Dave Althoff (Carol). He is also survived by 33 great-grandchildren.
