He was predeceased by: his parents, Corrine Brown (Powell) and Roland E. Brown Sr.; his siblings, Roland Brown Jr., Cynthia Brown, Leslie Brown (Deborah), Darlene White, Leon Brown and Dwight Brown; and his siblings-in-law, John White Sr., Jean Foster and Jessie Vaughn-Brown.
He is survived by: his friend Terry Nolting; and his brother Jeffrey Brown of Edwardsville. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and a wide circle of friends.
