He was predeceased by: his parents, William S. Hanks and Elenora Hanks (Gremer); his brother Andrew Hanks; and his sisters-in-law, Bonnie Hanks and Debbie Hanks.
He is survived by: his children, Terri Hanks of Edwardsville, IL and William C. Hanks (Bridgett) of O'Fallon, MO; his grandchildren, Georgiana, Augustus and Francesca Hanks; and his brothers, James Hanks (Joyce) of Edwardsville, IL and Melvin Hanks of Edwardsville, IL. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
