With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Puhse Anderson of Edwardsville, Illinois, born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, who passed away on November 25, 2023 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Q. M. Gornto and Susie Anna Gornto (Townsend); her former spouse Thomas G. Puhse; her husband Howard C. Anderson; her son Thomas G. Puhse, Jr.; her siblings, Q. M., Stafford Gornto and Ila Tomlinson; and her stepdaughters, Jannette Anderson and Ruth Ann Belusko.
She is survived by: her children, Neil E. Puhse (Sandra) of Lighthouse Point, FL and Susan Hartnagel (Greg) of Edwardsville; her grandchildren, Erika Yasger, Sammy Hartnagel, Thomas Hartnagel, John Dougherty and Scott Puhse; her great grandchild Silas Dougherty; and her stepchildren, Michael J. Anderson (Kay) of Granite City and Judith Frey of Granite City, IL. She is also survived by eleven step grandchildren; and 12 step great grandchildren.
