She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Nekola and Henrietta Nekola (Dee); and her brother Norman Nekola. She is survived by: her husband William "Bill" Marit of Cecilia's Catholic Church; her children, Dee Ann Thiems (Terry) of Edwardsville, IL and Stephen L. Marit (Sandy Rodowick) of Bethalto, IL; her granddaughters, Tara Chandler (Keith) of Edwardsville, IL, Taylor Baker (Brandon) of Worden, IL and Tanya Thiems (Drew) of Worden, IL; and her great grandchildren, Chanclee Chandler, Tinsley Baker and Channing Chandler.
