It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elfriede L. Wechselberger of Edwardsville, Illinois, who passed away on December 29, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the sacred silence of farewell, Elfriede is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Elfriede's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Franz Gotthart and Emma Gotthart (Aue). She is survived by: her children, Eric Wechselberger (Lynn) of Powell, OH and Eva Duncan (Greg) of Edwardsville, IL; her grandchildren, Nicole Tabugadir (Mark) of Denver, CO, Marcus Wechselberger (Mackenzie) of West Allis, WI, Joey Duncan of Milan, TN and Danny Duncan of Edwardsville, IL; and her great grandchild Murphy Wechselberger.
The family suggests memorials be made to the St. Mary's Capital Campaign fund.
