He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Reiter and Nellie M Reiter (Koch); his wife Marie E. Cathorall; his siblings, Eileen Reiter, Frances Neunaber, Thelma Klueter, Leroy, Leonard, Chester, Dale, Murl and Rev. Kenneth Reiter; and his siblings-in-law, Laverne, Rosalie, Esther Reiter, Edgar Wendel, Roy Neunaber and Wilbur Klueter.
He is survived by: his brother Rev. Allen Reiter (Lynn) of Hamel, IL; and his sisters-in-law, Ann Reiter of Ankeny, IA, Gertrude Cathorall of Auroa, NC, Hallene Palmer of Edwardsville, IL and Delores Jennings of Aurora, NC. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews, and great great nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Immanuel United Church of Christ - Hamel (5838 Staunton Rd, Edwardsville, IL 62025).
Memorials may be given to Immanuel UCC, Disabled American Veterans, United Service Organizations (USO), or Wounded Warriors.
