It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Adele Elaine Metz of Edwardsville, Illinois, born in Mount Vernon, Illinois, who passed away on September 13, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Easley and Patricia Bond. She is survived by: her husband Nelson F. Metz of Edwardsville, IL; her daughters, Monica Metz of Kansas City, MO and Gretchen Johnson (Shane); her sister Sarah Kilpatrick (Aaron) of Bethalto, IL; her son John M. Metz of San Rafael, CA; her grandchildren, Alexander N. Metz of Calvin Johnson, AJ, Charlie and Niley Kilpatrick; and her siblings, Robert Easley (Laddawan), John Easley (Lisa), Joyce Jones (Tom) and Dee Ann Firebaugh.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
