He was predeceased by: his parents, Elbert Wesley and Nellie Marie Staley (Taylor); and his brothers, Everett Staley and E. W. "J. R.". He is survived by: his wife Mary Leann Strode; his children, Denice Hire (Doug) of Bartonville, IL, Mike Staley (Kim) of Elmwood, IL and Chris Staley (Kathy Pierce) of Gilson, IL; his siblings, LaVada Knepper (Cliff) of Vero Beach, FL, Nyle Staley (Linda) of Hanna City, IL, Lyle Staley (Sue) of Canton, IL and David Staley (Kay) of Trivoli, IL; his grandchildren, Michael Staley, Jennifer Gill, Krista Wilson, Jason Hire and Heather Staley; his sisters, Lucille Taylor, Helen Walker and Sharon Harris; and his grandson Jared Taylor Staley. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
