He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Thomas and Mamie Thomas (Cooper); his sister Joyce Hedden; and his brother-in-law Dwight. He is survived by: his wife Emma Requarth Thomas; his sisters, JoAnn Biek (Paul) and Sandy Mason; his children, Brad Thomas (Chris) of Edinburg, Jeff Thomas (Kathy) of Taylorville, Susan Suggs (Tony) and Chris Metsker (Dennis); and his grandchildren, Chelsea McKinnie (Jordan), Clint Thomas, Gina Thomas, Jennifer Thomas, Jessica Lael, Nicole Lael, Allen Miles-Suggs, Shanice Neal, Christina Suggs, Ben Metsker (Kaitlyne), Cody Metsker and Ty Metsker (Jessa). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
