He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Richards and Lena Richards (Neer); his former wife Charlene Marie Grieve; and his siblings, Norma Zini, Ellen Nave Richards and Carl Nave.

He is survived by: his wife Emily Christine Stringer; and his children, Michael Allen Richards, Mark Wayne Richards (Gail), Dawn Imburgia (Tom), Rhonda Burton and Marcie Moran (David). He is also survived by ten grandchildren, seventeen great- grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
