He was predeceased by: his parents, Addison Rursch and Edith Johnston Rursch; and his siblings, Duane Rursch, Lois Rursch Anderson, Orville Rursch, Clair Rursch, Donald Rursch and John Robert "J. R.".
He is survived by: his wife Denise of Edgington; his children, Marty Rursch of Fort Worth, TX and Michele; his son-in-law Eric Weinert; his stepgrandchildren, Cole Weinert (Sarah Hunter), Lane Weinert (Hadley), Sawyer Weinert and Kamden Weinert; and his niece Lara Grossman. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
