He was predeceased by: his sisters, Martha Jean and Dorothy "Dot" Fowler. He is survived by: his children, Kelly Kerres, Kerry Kerres, Kimberly Blaylock (David) and Karen McManus (Chris); his grandsons, Tysen and Kain Edwards; his brother-in-law Lewis Fowler; and also Kathleen Kerres-Stigers. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
