He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Shoemaker and Ester Shoemaker (Richardson); his sons, Donnie Shoemaker and Ted W. Shoemaker; his brothers, Bob Shoemaker, Tom Shoemaker and Stanley Shoemaker; his son-in-law Darrin Siebert; and his granddaughter Amanda Keaton.

He is survived by: his daughters, Pam Karnes (Steve) of Arkansas, Brenda Manuel of Edgewood and Jan Siebert of Garden City, Kansas; his daughter-in-law Linda Shoemaker of Oklahoma; his sister Helen Smith of Texas; and his grandchildren, Brittany Garrett (Shawn), Beau Manuel (Sydney), Jaime Crane (Kerry), Dana Sandoval (Carlos), Sam Karnes, Travis Karnes (LeAnn), Brandy Kay Shoemaker, Scott Shoemaker, Aaron Shoemaker (Krysti), Josh Siebert (MJ), Jacob Siebert, Eli Siebert (Stephanie) and Katie Siebert. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
