It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maybelle Barnes (Edgewood, Illinois), born in Effingham, Illinois, who passed away on February 22, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dan Ashbaugh and Daisy Ashbaugh (Bishop); her siblings, Jack Ashbaugh, Huck Ashbaugh, Marvel Haslett, Ruth Parks and Twila Eirhart; and her grandson Shawn Barnes.
She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bob" Barnes; her children, Roger Barnes (Sereta) and Connie Barnes (Roger Hamilton); and her grandchildren, Amber Barnes (Jay Gordon), Heather Forys (Scott), Shannon Moss (Ted) and Morgan Barrett (Steve). She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the St. Elmo Tree Committee.
