He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Simmons and Cecilia Simmons; and his siblings, Harold, Henry, Lawrence, Bob, Leon, Ralph (Leroy Simmons), Vera Parkhurst, Marjorie Lacey and Larene Cook.
He is survived by: his wife Fredia Depoister; his children, Paul Simmons (Stacey), Earnie Simmons (Katie) and Paula Adams (Matt); and his siblings, Charlie Simmons (Lucille) of Texas, Noel Simmons (Georgia) of Mason, Illinois and Betty Ingram of Edgewood, Illinois. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
