It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sheryl Renee Rainey (East Saint Louis, Illinois), who passed away on April 17, 2022, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Robert E. Williams, Sr.; her siblings, Gloria Jackson and Tommie Reed; and her niece Darretta Shelby-Banks. She is survived by: her grandson Gary, Jr.; her daughter Renee; her husband Gary Odell Rainy; her children, Teresa Rainey, Kenya Rainey, Tiffany Millender and Gary Odell Rainey, Jr.; her brothers, Robert Williams, Jr. (Willa) of Sanford, Daryl Williams, Sr. (Kathy) of Belleville, Frederick Williams (Remy) of Denver, Kinnis Williams, Sr. (Shelia) and Vergal Williams; her aunts, Delores Fischer, Mary Rhodes and Thelma Johnson; her niece Michelle Coleman; her cousin Stephon Rhodes; and her close friend Leveion Dotson. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 30 plus great-grandchildren.
