Roberts Jr. (East Saint Louis, Illinois), born in DeKalb, Mississippi, who passed away on January 25, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Welch Robert and Sammie L. Roberts Jr.; and his grandmother Bertha Welch. He is survived by: his wife Debt Roberts of Venice, IL; his children, Jamila Brawley (Andre) of Florissant, MO and Sammie L. Roberts III; his grandchildren, Mya Brawley, Andre Brawley Jr., Jordan Brawley, Kylie Brawley and Symauri Roberts; his siblings, Joyce Raye Roy (James Jr.) of East St and James (Pop); and his sister-in-law Brenda Johnson. He is also survived by nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
