She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Nichols and Lucille Nichols; her siblings, Calvin "Dude" Nichols, Delores Vinson, Ralph Nichols and Rose Murdock (Ekie); her husband Williams Petty; her son Derrick (Belinda); and her grandchild Lanika M. Maxey.
She is survived by: her children, Dana Glanton (LaVerne) of Stone Mountain, Georgia and Ruby Stamps of Springfield, Illinois; her sister Carolyn L. Hyser of Elgin, Illinois; her niece Cynthia Walton of Springfield, Illinois; her friend John E. Wallace of East St; and her grandchildren, Seeds, Sherrie Ferguson, Latresa Hamilton (Zachary), Quiana Lattier (John), Chacolby Crockett (David), Derrick Glanton, Jr. (Shanaya), Dana C. Glanton, Aneia D. Glanton, Gavin Glanton, Donavan C. Glanton, Tanishia N. King and Devlin Crawford. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
