He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Rose Hughes; his daughters, Cynthia Amberose Grant (Tim) and Elizabeth Jasimin-Rose Hughes; his sisters, Betty Jean Johnson (James) and Yolanda Victoria Hughes; his grandchildren, Reine, Braden, Issac, Antonio, Melody, Eziekiel, Gabriel and John; his nieces and nephews, Allyson Francell Hughes, Rozitta Bennett (Darryl), Brenda Lynette Curtis (Paul), Sheila Chism, Yolanda Candy Hughes, Lori Bland, Erik Chism, Randy Chism and Deitrich Chism; and his great-niece Tiffany Paradise Holmes. He is also survived by cousins, other relatives and friends.
